"To me, the Philippines is a diamond in the rough. From my perspective on the outside, it's either misunderstood or surrounded by a lot of negativity. But as much as you acknowledge all that there is to be done, there are also so many good things about the Philippines, its values and beauty. I feel like it has a lot of potential for growth."

American Home: Eagle Rock, CA & Las Vegas, NV
Current Home: Providence, RI

You'll find Danielle surrounded by her community. She likes having a lot of things to do with a diverse community. Her home reflects her need for community by having a few floors and couches for people to chill. She also likes to keep the windows wide open 24/7. Her work space also has to be upbeat and positive, like an artistic, creative space with collaborative spaces. There should be NO cubicles and plenty of free food and coffee.

-How-

She's comfortable being the… Analyst | Builder | Mobilizer

She feels especially productive… in the morning because of the sunshine and coffee. She's the type of person who, no matter how late she's up, will wake up at 8 or 9. She does so much in the afternoons from 12 to 7, so she needs to utilize her mornings to catch up and get ahead.

Try not to disturb her… when she's very focused on her work or especially stressed. When she's under pressure, every moment matters.

-Who-

She sees herself helping Kaya Co. grow by… mobilizing people towards Kaya Co.'s mission and getting people on board. She's excited to see how the Innovation Lead Ashoka Philippines project turns out and how that will inspire later projects.

She’d like to grow through Kaya Co. by… building up her confidence. She has an issue with an inferiority complex sometimes. But being a part of Kaya has shown her that she has a valuable voice and how to finally be involved with the PH community.

One thing you should know… when people don't know her, they sometimes get intimidated by her, but she can get intimidated by people too. She wants you to know that she's really friendly! She takes pride in the fact that she's a first-gen from humble beginnings, and that's really influenced her ideals and morals. She tries not to worry too much about the small things because she thinks there are more important things to worry about in the grander scheme. She likes to stay grounded. On a lighter note, she likes art and singing.

Her favorite animals are… squirrels. This year she's been really aware of the squirrels on campus. They're still neurotic and you don't know what they're gonna do but still SO CUTE! She thinks they're really funny animals with a lot of personalities.
